Location: Talbot Avenue between Braddock Avenue/Kenmawr Avenue and Fleet Street in Rankin.

Traffic restriction: Full closure of Talbot Avenue between Braddock Avenue/Kenmawr Avenue and Fleet Street.

Project start date: April 7, 2025

Estimated project end date: Fall 2029

Scope of work: Demolition and replacement of the Talbot Avenue ramp.

Primary contractor for demolition: Mosites Construction Company.

Primary contractor for new ramp construction: TBD

Estimated cost of new ramp construction: TBD


Public Meeting

The Allegheny County Department of Public Works, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) held a public meeting to provide information and answer questions about the Talbot Avenue ramp replacement project on January 28, 2026 at the Carnegie One Braddock Library.


Detours

Southbound detour (toward Fleet Street)

  • From Braddock Avenue, turn right onto Fourth Street

Northbound detour (toward Braddock Avenue/Kenmawr Avenue)

  • Same as the southbound detour in the opposite direction
