Overview

Summary: During an inspection, inspectors found corroded steel within Jack Run Bridge No. 3's only pier. Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure safety, Public Works made the difficult decision to close the bridge until it could be demolished and replaced.

Location: Jacks Run Road over I-279 and between Bellevue Road/Bellpark Drive and Kane Lane

Traffic restriction: Full closure of Jacks Run Road between Bellevue Road/Bellpark Drive and Kane Lane

Project start date: July 3, 2025

Estimated project end date: Fall 2027

Jacks Run Road Detour

Southbound toward Brighton Road

• From Bellevue Road, stay straight as the road becomes North Balph Avenue
• Turn right onto Lincoln Avenue
• Turn right onto Brighton Road
• Turn right onto Jacks Run Road (if needed)

Northbound toward Bellevue Road

• Same as the southbound detour in the opposite direction
