Overview

• Location: Spring Garden Road in Reserve between Ramage Road and Beech Street
• Traffic restrictions: Full closure
• Project start date: June 2, 2025
• Estimated traffic restrictions end date: September 2025
• Scope of work: Construction of a roadway support structure, roadway repairs, as well as curb and pavement marking replacement

Northbound Detour

• From Spring Garden Road, stay straight as the road becomes Spring Garden Avenue
• Turn left onto Vinial Street
• Turn left onto Troy Hill Road
• Stay straight as the road becomes Gardner Street
• Turn right onto Lowrie Street
• Veer left onto Ley Street
• Turn left onto Rialto Street
• Go straight onto Pittview Avenue
• Turn left onto Mt. Troy Road
• Turn left onto Spring Garden Road (if needed)

Southbound Detour

• From Spring Garden Road, turn right onto Mt. Troy Road
• Turn left onto Rialto Street
• Turn right onto Ley Street
• Go straight onto Lowrie Street
• Turn left onto Gardner Street
• Stay straight as the road becomes Troy Hill Road
• Turn right onto Vinial Street
• Turn right onto Spring Garden Avenue (if needed)
• Stay straight as the road becomes Spring Garden Road (if needed)

Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) impacts

To accommodate the closure, PRT announced that its 7-Spring Garden bus route will be detoured using Mt. Troy Road, Ivory Avenue, Evergreen Road, East Street, Mt. Pleasant Road, and Beech Street. Additionally, five stops on the route will be temporarily discontinued:

Inbound

• Spring Garden Road opposite #3851 (Stop # 2863)
• Spring Garden Road opposite #3681 (Stop # 2864)
• Spring Garden Road at Beech Street (Stop # 2865)

Outbound

• Spring Garden Road at #3681 (Stop # 2915)
• Spring Garden Road at #3851 (Stop # 2916)

Riders at the affected stops will be able to use a temporarily established stop on Beech Street at Spring Garden Road. Riders at the affected outbound stops will be able to use a temporarily established stop on Spring Garden Road opposite Beech Street (Stop #2914).
