How are we supposed to get to our houses when Penn Avenue Extension is closed? The road to my home is being closed off

James asked about 1 month ago

All residents who live on Penn Avenue Extension will have access to their homes at all times. The work zone is a relatively small section of road between 250 Penn Avenue Extension and Aliquippa Street. That is where barriers were placed in the road, preventing vehicles from passing through.

While Penn Avenue Extension is open to local traffic between Aliquippa Street and the Tri-Boro Expressway, we want to prevent all other traffic from using the road. We do not want large trucks to turn onto Penn Avenue Extension from the Tri-Boro Expressway and attempt to turn around at the work zone.

Am I still able to get up onto Prospect Street?

Prospect Street can be easily accessed if you are coming from the Tri-Boro Expressway. If you're coming from Greensburg Pike, you can either take the posted detour or use Aliquippa Street, Seneca Street, Brown Avenue, the Tri-Boro Expressway, and Penn Avenue Extension to reach Prospect Street.
