Project Overview
The Allegheny County Department of Public Works, with funding from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), is planning a Wible Run Bridge No. 11 replacement project. Wible Run Bridge No. 11 carries Anderson Road over Wible Run in Shaler Township.
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing corrugated metal arch culvert with a safe and reliable reinforced concrete box culvert over Wible Run and to replace a railing retaining wall upstream from the existing culvert.

Virtual Public Meeting
The Allegheny County Department of Public Works, along with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), is hosting a virtual public meeting on the Microsoft Teams video conferencing application from 7 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 to discuss an upcoming Wible Run Bridge No. 11 replacement project
The purpose of the meeting is to present the preliminary construction and traffic control plans as well as to obtain public input prior to completion of the project’s final design. Construction for this project is currently anticipated to begin in 2028. Representatives from Allegheny County, PennDOT, and the county’s design consultant, Lochner Engineering, will be answering questions and addressing concerns about the project.
